Rules & Regulations

For DRAG RACING Participants
In order to be allowed to Run on the Drag strip:
– You must be present at the Drivers Meeting on the Saturday morning just before racing starts.
– You Must have a Helmet, long pants and long sleeved shirt made from natural fibres.( full race suits if you go faster than 12s/402m.)
– For those racing with a motorcycle: protective clothing is mandatory, full suit, gloves, boots and a helmet.
– You have to have a Valid Drivers license.
– You must Display your Competitor Number and Stickers Provided by our sponsors.
– Your vehicle has to pass Tech Inspection

Tech Inspection Guidelines;
– Seat belts, Seat, Fuel tank and Battery must be properly secured.
(Seat belt; at least a lap belt. below 14s/402m 3point belt mandatory, below 11s/402m 4point belt mandatory.)
– There must be a firewall separating the Driver from the engine and gearbox.
– The wheels may not be exposed towards the driver’s compartment.
– No Fuel or Oil Leaks, Fuel and Oil lines must be in good condition.
– No loose objects inside the car.
– Lug nuts must be all present and in good condition.
– Tires must be in good condition.
– Roll cage mandatory below 11s/402m. Mandatory for Convertibles or Altered roofs (roof chops) below 12s/402m. Below 10s/402m a 6 point cage is required.
– Window net for cars below 10s/402m

-The Tech inspectors reserve the right to refuse access to cars and drivers that are judged unsafe, those that represent unsportsmanlike behaviour, those who display Drunk driving, those under the influence of narcotics, those who ignore instructions from the drag racing officials and those who modify their car after tech inspection will be disqualified.
– Donuts and Burn Outs on the grass or on the roads and parking areas are forbidden by the police department and they will enforce this severely.
These actions are only allowed in the designated areas, Burnout Box, Drag Strip, Off Road Track or the Slalom Track, and only by those who have registered to do so, had their vehicles gone through inspection and those who have signed off the liability waiver.

For Off Road Track Participants!

– You must be present at the Drivers Meeting on the Saturday morning just before racing starts.

– You have to have a Valid Drivers license.

For Show and Shine Participants!

– Your vehicle must be built prior to 1979.
– Your vehicle must be pre registered.
– You must obey the Show and Shine marshals who will direct you to your designated spot on the showground.
– Max Speed of 5km/h on the whole Show Ground must be respected at all times.
– The organisation reserves the right to refuse access to cars and drivers that are judged unsafe, those that represent unsportsmanlike behaviour, those who display Drunk driving, those under the influence of narcotics, those who ignore instructions from the marshals/officials will be expelled from the showground.
– Donuts and Burn Outs on the grass or on the roads and parking areas are forbidden by the police department and they will enforce this severely.

For Swap Meet Participants!

– Your are only allowed to sell used parts, if you are a business or are selling new goods then you must book a professional trade stand.
– Your space must be pre registered.
– You must obey the Swap Meet marshals who will direct you to your designated spot on the showground.
– Max Speed of 5km/h on the whole Show Ground must be respected at all times.
– The organisation reserves the right to refuse access to cars and drivers that are judged unsafe, those that represent unsportsmanlike behaviour, those who display Drunk driving, those under the influence of narcotics, those who ignore instructions from the marshals/officials will be expelled from the showground.
– The event organisation reserve the right to modify these rules without any notice.

GENERAL RULES APPLICABLE TO EVERYONE!

1. This event is open to Aircooled Volkswagens and Porsche’s only.

2. Only the registered cars have access to the Show and Shine area. Cars towing trailers are admitted only for delivering and positioning of their registered cars. Trailers and tow vehicles have to be parked on their designated area.

3. Participants have to respect the Belgian road code and the tranquillity of the locals.

4. The organising staff are allowed to exclude any participant temporally or permanently if the participant should endanger other participants, visitors or local people.

5. Cars are only admitted if they are insured and are legal on the road. Exceptions for the dragsters and the other race cars for the speed trials and the dirt track oval. Those cars that are not legal on the road, can only be transported by trailer.

6. Between 20.00 H and 08.00 H, you are not allowed to test engines and car
audio on the campsite. Participants are kindly asked not to move their cars on the campsite between those hours. If absolutely necessary please drive slow and silent.

7. Donuts and Burn Outs on the grass or on the roads and parking areas are forbidden by the police department and they will enforce this severely. These actions are only allowed in the designated areas, Burnout Box, Drag Strip, Off Road Track or the Slalom Track, and only by those who have registered to do so, had their vehicles gone through inspection and those who have signed off the liability waiver.

8. A ground cover sheet has to be placed under the car when any mechanical work is performed in the paddock or in the camping.

9. 5km/Hour speed limit everywhere on the site.

10. Open fires are not allowed. Only B.B.Q’s on a foot are allowed. Participants are responsible for damages in case of accidents.

11. Participants should respect the surroundings and the peace of other people at all times.

12.No camping is permitted on the showground except for the Swap Meet, exhibitors/traders Drag and other Racers, Pre-Registered Car Clubs and the Organisation. ALL OTHERS MUST USE THE DESIGNATED CAMPSITE AREA

13. By order of the Police the Pocket Bikes are strictly forbidden on the entire site of the manifestation and as well as on the paddocks. They will by confiscated and locked up.
Only the vehicles on 2 wheels and the quads authorised by the Organisation (with a special badge) are allowed to circulate on the paddocks. All other non authorised vehicles will be confiscated and returned at the end of the event.

When entering the premises participants automatically agree with these rules. Decisions of the organising comity are definitive.
